The Board
The game is played on a 3×3 grid of smaller 3×3 tic-tac-toe boards — 81 cells total.
Making Moves
Each turn, you place your mark in an empty cell on one of the small boards. The first player can play anywhere.
The Key Rule
The position of the cell you pick within a small board determines which small board your opponent must play in next. For example, if you place your mark in the center cell of any small board, your opponent must play in the center board. Play in the bottom-left cell? They go to the bottom-left board.
Free Choice
If the target board is already won or full, the next player can choose any available board.
Winning
Win three small boards in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) to win the game. A draw on a small board means nobody claims it.
